AUTHOR INSTRUCTIONS
Submission Categories
MERS 2026 welcomes two types of submissions: full papers and extended abstracts. Authors should select the submission category that best reflects the maturity, depth and intended presentation format of their work.
Full Paper Submission
Full papers must be prepared using the IEEE conference paper format. The maximum length is six pages including figures, tables and references.
Accepted full papers will be allocated for oral presentations. Full papers that are not accepted in their submitted form may be invited for resubmission as extended abstracts, subject to reviewer recommendations.

Extended abstracts must be prepared using the MERS extended abstract template.
Accepted extended abstracts will be allocated for poster presentations.
Extended Abstract TemplateImportant Submission Information
- All submissions must be written in English.
- Authors must select either the full paper category or the extended abstract category at the time of submission.
- Submissions will open on 01 June 2026.
- The submission deadline is 17 July 2026, 11:59 PM.
The online submission portal link and related submission instructions will be announced before submissions open.
Double-Blind Review Requirements
All initial submissions must comply with the double-blind review process. Manuscripts that do not satisfy these requirements may be returned to the authors or excluded from review.
- Do not include author names, affiliations, email addresses or other identifying information in the initial manuscript.
- Do not include grant information, funding acknowledgements or personal acknowledgements in the initial manuscript.
- Authors should ensure that the manuscript file, file name and document metadata do not reveal author identities.
- References to the authorsâ own previous work should be written in the third person, as with all other cited work.

Poster presentation guidelines will be provided for authors of accepted extended abstracts.
